NDIS Handyman & Home Modifications · Adelaide

Helping NDIS participants live safely and independently at home. Grab rails, ramps, door modifications and general home maintenance across Adelaide.

NDIS handyman services across Adelaide.

Royale Maintenance supports NDIS participants across Adelaide with home maintenance and minor modifications that make daily living safer and easier. We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants, alongside Occupational Therapists, support coordinators, and family members.

NDIS work needs more than a tradesperson with a drill. It needs someone who understands the documentation, communicates clearly with everyone in the participant's network, and treats the person living in the home with respect. That's how we operate.

What we do for NDIS participants

  • Grab rails & safety bars — bathrooms, hallways, bedside, ramps. Compliant fixings into stud or masonry.
  • Threshold ramps — small ramps for doorways, level access between rooms.
  • Door modifications — replace round knobs with lever handles, widen doorways for wheelchair access, hang lighter doors.
  • Bathroom safety upgrades — non-slip strips, hand-held shower fittings, raised toilet seats fitted.
  • General home maintenance — anything from a sticky door to a leaking tap that affects daily living. Funded under your plan's Core Supports where applicable.
  • Coordination with OTs & SCs — we work to your Occupational Therapist's spec and report back to your support coordinator.

Working with your plan

The way NDIS funding flows depends on how your plan is managed:

  • Plan-managed: We invoice your plan manager directly with itemised line items.
  • Self-managed: We invoice you and you claim through the NDIS portal.
  • Agency-managed: Contact us first — we'll discuss whether we can support your situation under the current NDIS rules.

Either way, you'll get a written, itemised quote up front. No surprises, no scope creep.

Why we care about doing this well

NDIS work is recurring, important, and visible. A handyman who shows up on time, communicates clearly, and respects the person they're working for is rare — and we know participants and families compare notes. We treat every job like it matters because it does.

FAQ

Common NDIS handyman questions.

Are you NDIS registered?
Royale Maintenance provides handyman and home maintenance services that NDIS participants can access through their plan. We work with both NDIS plan-managed and self-managed participants, as well as directly with support coordinators. If you're agency-managed and need a registered provider, contact us first and we'll confirm whether we can support your situation.
What kind of NDIS-related work do you do?
Common jobs include: grab rail and safety bar installation in bathrooms and hallways, threshold ramps, door-handle replacements with lever handles, widening internal doorways, installing non-slip flooring strips, hand-held shower conversions, and general home maintenance that helps a participant live safely and independently at home.
Do I need a Home Modification Assessment first?
For minor modifications (under $10,000 in many cases), an Occupational Therapist assessment is usually required to justify the work in your NDIS plan. We're happy to work alongside your OT and provide written quotes that fit your assessment documentation. For non-assessment maintenance work funded under Core Supports, an OT isn't typically needed.
Can you invoice the plan manager directly?
Yes. We invoice plan managers using standard NDIS line items, with itemised descriptions and clear evidence of work completed. We're happy to discuss invoicing requirements with your plan manager before work begins.
How quickly can you start?
For straightforward jobs — grab rails, threshold ramps, door modifications — we can usually quote within 24–36 hours and book within the same week. Larger modifications follow your OT/assessment timeline. Call 0460 953 673 to discuss.
Do you provide quotes in writing?
Always. NDIS work requires written, itemised quotes for plan-management approval. We provide quotes within 24–36 hours of inspection, with line items matching standard NDIS support categories where applicable.
